From the 31st of January until the 2nd of February 2008, Allied Telesis International held its 2008 European Press Event at the exclusive Vila Sol Spa and Golf Resort in the Algarve, Portugal.

To mark its 20th Anniversary, Allied Telesis presented a new corporate strategy to meet customer requirements, and unveiled its latest modular switch platform - the SwitchBlade x908 Advanced Layer 3 Modular Switch, which provides high density Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet in both the NSP and Enterprise markets.

Allied Telesis was founded on Ethernet technology, which has become the dominant worldwide communications standard, and has been developing Ethernet building blocks for 20 years. The new SwitchBlade x908 switch continues Allied Telesis's proven history of delivering Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, and 10G Ethernet to both Enterprise and NSP customers.
